Swimming Game – Challenge: Vampire Sleep

With your feet on top of the lane line, and your arms in Vampire Sleep, keep your belly button and face above water for 5 seconds.

This game can be played with a pool noodle or a floatie. The kids lie on their back on the noodle or floatie and close their eyes. They pretend to be vampires sleeping in their coffins. The instructor or another kid tries to wake them up by splashing water on them or making noises. The kids have to stay still and not open their eyes until they hear a magic word, such as “sunrise” or “garlic”. This game can help them relax and float on their back without fear.
